To ensure the best Botox results and a smooth experience, please follow these pre-treatment guidelines. By doing so, you minimize the risk of bruising and ensure your treatment goes smoothly. For 3 days before your Botox appointment, please refrain from taking any blood-thinning medications and supplements, including over-the-counter drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), Aleve, and herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, St. John's Wort, and omega-3 capsules. These can increase the risk of bruising at the injection site. If you have a cardiovascular condition, please consult with your doctor before stopping any medication, especially aspirin.

Please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your Botox treatment. Alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and swelling at the injection sites, which can affect your results.

For 24 hours before your Botox appointment, please avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal creams in the areas to be treated. Smooth, healthy skin helps ensure that Botox is applied precisely and effectively.

For optimal Botox results, avoid prolonged sun exposure in the days leading up to your appointment, especially in the treatment areas. Sunburned skin can be difficult to treat, and Botox may not perform effectively on areas that are irritated or damaged by the sun.

You would not be considered a candidate for neurotoxin treatments if you have any of the following conditions:

• Myasthenia Gravis
• Allergy to Botulinum Toxin
• Neuromuscular disorder
• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Allergy to human albumin
• Skin infection at the planned injection site

To ensure the best Botox results and a smooth recovery, please follow these aftercare instructions. These steps will help your body respond to the neurotoxin and ensure optimal results from your Botox treatment.

1. Makeup & Skincare
   You may apply makeup immediately after your Botox procedure. However, we recommend avoiding facials, saunas, or hot showers on the day of your Botox treatment to prevent irritation or undue pressure on the treated areas.
2. Activate the Injected Muscles
   For the first 1-2 hours after your Botox injection, gently use the injected muscles by practicing facial expressions like frowning, raising your eyebrows, and squinting. This helps the neurotoxin integrate into the muscles and ensures the best results from your Botox treatment.
3. Be Patient with Results
   The full effects of your Botox treatment may take up to 14 days to develop. Many clients notice changes within 4-7 days as the Botox begins to relax the muscles. Please wait at least 14 days before assessing your results to give the neurotoxin time to take full effect.
4. Avoid Touching and Rubbing the Treated Area
   Refrain from touching or rubbing the treated areas for 2-4 hours after your Botox appointment. Also, avoid vigorous exercise, excessive sweating, and lying down or leaning forward for the remainder of the day to allow the Botox to settle into the muscles.
5. Bruising Is Possible, But Temporary
   A slight chance of bruising may occur at the treated site, but rest assured this is temporary and will resolve on its own within a few hours after your Botox treatment. If any minor bumps or marks appear, they should disappear quickly.
6. Facials, Massage, and Exfoliation
   Please avoid facials, microdermabrasion, or facial massages for 7 days after your Botox treatment to avoid pressure on the treated areas.
7. Medications
   Avoid taking Ibuprofen, Advil, or Motrin following your Botox treatment, as these can increase the risk of bruising. If you experience discomfort, Tylenol is acceptable (unless contraindicated).
8. Neurotoxin Duration
   Botox is a temporary treatment, and the results typically last around 3-4 months. However, with regular Botox treatments in Centennial, CO your results may last longer as your muscles become more relaxed. Your practitioner will guide you on the ideal timing for your next Botox session.
9. Follow-Up Appointment
   Your satisfaction is important to us! After your first Botox treatment, we recommend scheduling a quick follow-up appointment in 2 weeks. This allows us to check how your muscles have responded to the Botox and make any necessary adjustments. If further treatment is needed, additional products may be required at an extra cost, but sometimes no additional product is necessary.
10. Daily Sunscreen
    Remember to wear sunscreen daily to protect your skin and preserve the youthful, radiant results from your Botox treatment.
